“Kos” is a razor-sharp, gripping, and modern film—packed with fast-paced action and emotion—that tells a universal story about people who, in the name of freedom and equality, overcame their mutual prejudices and the differences dividing them. It is the spring of 1794, and Poland is in turmoil.
General Tadeusz “Kos” Kościuszko (Jacek Braciak) returns to the country, planning to spark an uprising against the Russians by mobilizing both the Polish nobility and the peasantry. He is accompanied by his loyal friend and former enslaved man, Domingo (Jason Mitchell). Hot on Kościuszko’s trail—warrant in hand—is the ruthless Russian cavalry captain Dunin (Robert Więckiewicz), who is determined to capture the general at any cost before he can ignite a national rebellion.
