A group of five devoted friends shared a big dream since childhood: to shake up the Polish metal scene and draw huge crowds to their concerts—all under the banner of a band with an ominous name: Exterminator.

Time, however, proved that youthful ambitions are one thing, and real life is quite another. Nowadays, the band’s leader, Marcyś, works in his father’s shop. Guitar virtuoso Lizzy is an ordinary bank employee. A third member, bassist Jaromir, punches the clock daily at a polyurethane foam factory while striving to fulfill his duties as a family man. Drummer Makar has ended up in a psychiatric hospital. Meanwhile, the fifth member—Cypek—has gone abroad to work. Then, one day, old memories resurface, bringing with them the hope of finally realizing their musical dreams. The mayor promises to support the band with an EU grant, provided they can patch things up and get the group back together.

It soon turns out, however, that there is a catch: the guys must compromise their ideals and perform at a few local festivals, playing songs that are worlds apart from their usual repertoire…
