The Polish-Soviet borderlands, the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. Following the death of the gang leader and family patriarch, control over the Lewenfisz criminal clan passes to his daughter, Róża.

Together with her sisters, she carries on her father’s shady dealings and fights to withstand the rising power of a rival Soviet gang led by the conservative Lev. Meanwhile, amidst the feud between these two powerful families, the inseparable brothers Albin and Albert Hudini set a cunning plan in motion. Aided by the seductive Helena, they aim to rob the bank where the Lewenfisz fortune is kept. However, a few poor choices, a stroke of bad luck, and two dead bodies put their intricate scheme at risk. And that is just the beginning of their troubles, as Inspector Stanisława Kochaj—a woman with a brilliant investigative mind—has just arrived in town.
